Services were 10:30 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee, with the Rev. Magrey deVega officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1991. She worked for many years at Cherokee Mental Health Institute in the kitchen and the laundry department. She later owned and operated Mongan Cherokee Decorating with her husband. She umpired baseball and softball games. She liked to play recreational league volleyball and bowling. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband and their Brittany spaniels. She is survived by a brother, Milo Miller of Marcus; two sisters, Darlene Bennett of Waterbury, Neb., and Ruth and her husband, Butch Edwards of Primghar, Iowa; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Aage Miller Jr.
