She was the widow of Daryl Chicoine, of Elk Point, SD, who died in 1974, and of Henry Moret, of Sioux Center, IA, who died in 1981. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on October 14, 1921, to Gideon and Flora (Therrian) Myette, she was the youngest of four children. She was the widow of Daryl Chicoine, of Elk Point, SD, who died in 1974, and of Henry Moret, of Sioux Center, IA, who died in 1981. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on October 14, 1921, to Gideon and Flora (Therrian) Myette, she was the youngest of four children. She graduated from high school in Providence, RI in 1939, and then worked as a legal secretary. In 1948 she married Daryl Chicoine and moved to a farm near Elk Point, SD. They had six children, Melanie, Blair, Noel, Kevin, Nanette and Warren. Daryl was killed in a tractor accident on September 21, 1974. Rose continued to live on the farm until her marriage to Henry Moret of Sioux Center, IA in 1978. Henry died in 1981. Rose moved to Sioux City in 1990, then moved to Pierre in 2002. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Myette; sister, Florence Greenwood; husbands: Daryl Chicoine and Henry Moret; and her son, Blair Chicoine. She is survived by one sister, Eva Lemieux, of Warwick, RI; her children: Melanie Johnson, of Twin Falls, Dr. Noel (Teresa) Chicoine, of Pierre, Dr. Kevin (Kay) Chicoine, of Boise, Nanette (Mike) Hurlbut, of Austin, TX, Warren Chicoine, of Pierre, and Rose Chicoine, of Sioux City, IA; 10 grandchildren: Logan, Justin, Michelle, April, Nathan, Brian, Joshua, Leslie, Andrew and Zoe; two stepgrandchildren: Alie and Molly; two great-grandchildren: Taya and Jolene; and four stepgreat-grandchildren: Jack, Isabella, Elijah and Doc. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society. Memorial Service will be 11:00am, Saturday, November 3 at the Maryhouse Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in Elk Point, SD. Arrangements have been placed in care of Isburg Funeral Chapel. Published in Idaho Statesman on November 3, 2012
