Description	:	Rosella Mae Stansbury, the daughter of Glenn and Ellen (Orvis) Short, was born on May 30, 1918 at Wilsonville, Nebraska. She passed away on January 26, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 26 days. Rosella was united in marriage to Ward Carl Stansbury on October 21, 1936 at Belleville, Kansas. This union was blessed with a son. She passed away on January 26, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 26 days. Rosella was united in marriage to Ward Carl Stansbury on October 21, 1936 at Belleville, Kansas. This union was blessed with a son. Rosella and Ward farmed in the Deweese-Nelson area, helping with everything on the farm. They moved to Nelson in 1978, Rosella then was employed at the Orbit Inn and the Good Samaritan Center both in Nelson. Rosella later moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 2000 residing at the Village Terrace and then to the Good Samaritan Home in Nelson in 2005 where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Nelson United Community Church of Christ and U.D. Club. Rosella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ward on February 21, 1989. Survivors include her son, Galen and friend Michele of Hastings, Nebraska; great-grandsons, Devon and Hailee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10:30 AM from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry officiating. Music was "How Great Thou Art" and "One Day At A Time", with Stephanie Thayer as soloist and Carlita Erickson as organist. Pallbearers were Jared Harrington, Jimmy Watts, David Walthers, Tom Garvin, Dan Lacey and Darrell Harrington. Honorary Pallbearers were Leslie Harms and Dean Walthers. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery at Edgar Nebraska. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
