She was born September 30, 1919, in Atchison, the daughter of Joseph Henry and Mary Dorgan Meier. She attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Atchison High School in 1937. She married Alfred Joseph Elias on October 10, 1940, at St. Benedict's Church, Atchison. He died March 12, 2001. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Louis Church, Good Intent, and the church's altar society. She was a member for more 50 years of the Good Intent Homemaker's Club and was a Good Intent 4-H leader. She enjoyed collecting, embroidery work, traveling and spending time with her family. Survivors are her children, Linda Crossland, Atchison; Janet Elias, Carthage, MO; Susan Nash, Warrenton, MO; Joseph Elias, Atchison; Raymond Elias, Atchison; Patrick Elias, Atchison; brother, John Meier, Atchison; sister Ruth Elias, Tulsa, OK; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; her parents; children, Donald Elias; Thomas Elias; James Elias; brother, LeRoy Meier; and sister, Bertha Cogan. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Louis Catholic Church, Good Intent. Burial was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Atchison, KS.
