Read More	Dayton Review November 12, 1953 Graveside Rites Today For Roy Kinney, 50 Word of the death from a brain hemorrhage of Mr. Roy Kinney, former Dayton resident, came to friends and relatives early this week. Death occurred in the hospital at Iowa City Monday morning. Roy spent most of his boyhood and young manhood years here. He was born in Carroll, Iowa, and came here with his family while still a small boy. He attended the Dayton schools, and was well known throughout the community. He married Rosalie Carlson, and moved to Waterloo, where he has lived for many years. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kinney, and is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Donna Eckdahl of LaGrange, Ill., and one sister Bernice, of St. Louis. Funeral services are being held in Trinity American Lutheran Church of Waterloo, at 11 o'clock today, Thursday, Nov. 12th. The graveside rites will be held this afternoon in the Dayton Cemetery where burial will be made. Rev. Fred Shultz will be in charge here. The time is 3:30 o'clock. Obituary will appear next week. Dayton Review November 19, 1953 ROY L. KINNEY Roy L. Kinney, 49, of 536 Bayad St. died of an intracranial hemorrhage at 6:45 a.m. Monday at University Hospital, Iowa City. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kinney, he was born in Carroll on Dec. 20, 1903. He was graduated from Dayton High School in 1924 and attended Iowa State College, Ames. On Sept. 18, 1929 he married Rosalie Carlson at Boone. He was a member of Trinity American Lutheran Church. He had been employed as a machinist at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works. He was a member of Martin Lodge No. 624, AF-AM, Tabernacle Chapter No. 52, RAM.E1 Kahr Shrine Temple at Cedar Rapids, Order of Eastern Star Waterloo Chapter No. 128 and was junior warden of Ascalon Commandery Knights Templar. His parents and one sister preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. G. H. Eckdahl of LaGrange, Ill., one grandson, David, a sister Mrs. Lester Hickman of Kansas City, Mo. Services were held in the Lutheran Church at Waterloo and the graveside rites held in Dayton last Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Reverend R. E. Carlson was in charge of the service here.
