Read More	Osceola Sentinel Tribune, Osceola, Iowa February 22, 2001, Page 3 OBITUARIES RUBY DARLENE BLACK Ruby Darlene Black, daughter of Walter C. and Nancy Jane Chumbley Morris, was born Feb. 26, 1914, in Clarke County and died Feb. 14, 2001, at the Madrid Home in Madrid. She was 86. She attended Clarke County country schools. She married Wayne A. Black on Feb. 27,1932, in Bethany, Mo. They became the parents of four children. Mrs. Black, a homemaker, spent most of her life in Lucas County where she and Mr. Black farmed. They moved to Osceola in 1979. She moved to Luther Park Care Center in 1993 and in June of 1999, she moved to the Madrid Home. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy in infancy; her husband in 1986; a son, Wayne in 1988; three brothers, Basil Morris, in childhood and Carl and Orval Morris and five sisters, Nellie Nicholson, Mamie Nicholson, Wilma Wilson, Cecil Harvey and Hazel McWilliams. Mrs.Black is survived by a daughter, Celeste Allen and her husband, Irvin Allen, of Huxley; a son, Roger Black and his wife, Laura Black, of Palmyra; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Black of Wellesley Hills, Mass.; eight grandchildren, David Black of Wellesley Hills, Marcia Feinzig of Foxboro, Mass., Diane Krause of Slater, Douglas Allen of Huxley, Monty Allen of Deerfield, Ill., Debbie Hook of Hiawatha, Janet Shetterly of Hartford and Brian Black of Carlisle; 18 great grandchildren a great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Mary Morris of Osceola; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Black were Feb. 17 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Pastor Chuck DeVos officiating. Organist Pennie Gonseth accompanied Rhonda Lowry as she sang How Great Thou Art and You'll Never Walk Alone. Casket bearers were Douglas Allen, Monty Allen, Michael Shetterly, Michael Hook, Brian Black and Bill Krause. Honorary casket bearers were Marcia Feinzig, Peter Feinzig, Karen Black, Diane Krause, Debbie Black, Janet Shetterly, Valerie Allen, Dawn Allen and David Black. Interment was in Bethel Chapel Cemetery in Clarke County.
