Description	:	Ruby Diane Collins, the daughter of Willis and Dorothy Brown, was born on April 7, 1932. She passed away on February 27, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 20 days. Diane graduated from Nelson High School. She was united in marriage to Fred Collins and to this union four boys were born. Read More	Ruby Diane Collins, the daughter of Willis and Dorothy Brown, was born on April 7, 1932. She passed away on February 27, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 20 days. Diane graduated from Nelson High School. She was united in marriage to Fred Collins and to this union four boys were born. Diane moved to Marion, Indiana in 1958 and was employed at Auto Owners Insurance Company as a data entry operator, and moving in 1973 to Nelson, Nebraska where she was hired as the County Assessor for Nuckolls County, working there until her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Superior, American Legion Auxilary, the Nelson Rebekka Lodge and the Nora United Methodist Women. She enjoyed music in her earlier years of life and singing with her sisters at church and special events. In her spare time she enjoyed creating stain glass windows and artwork. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred in 1971 and one son, Mark. Survivors include her sons, Barry and wife Diane of Hickman, Nebraska, Jeffrey and wife Jenine of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Brian of Superior, Nebraska and daughter-in-law, Dawn of Norfolk, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Corey, Caitlin, Christy Collins and Nick and Christopher Collins; sisters, Melba Lynch of Nora, Nebraska, Rhea Thomsen and husband Soren of Superior, Nebraska and Joanette Kubicek and husband Gary of Oak, Nebraska and one brother Stephen Brown of Dennison, Texas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the First United Methodist Church in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. A congregational hymn was "Because He Lives" and special music was "Lord You Have Come To The Lakeshore" and "On Eagles Wings" with Angela Garver as soloist and Carlita Erickson as organist and accompanist. Pallbearers were Corey Collins, Nick Collins, Christopher Collins, Tom Kulek, Steven Kulek, David Kulek, Jerry Lynch and Jim Lynch. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska. Memorials may go in care of the family. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
