He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Brown and the sixth child of a family of eight children. Read More	Willis Floyd Brown was born June 13, 1895, at Nelson, Nebraska, and departed this life in the Veteran's Hospital at Lincoln, Nebr., Ostober (sic) 12, 1947, at the age of 52 years, 3 months, and 29 days. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Brown and the sixth child of a family of eight children. He grew to manhood in Nelson, being educated in the Nelson Schools, and has spent his entire life in Nelson, with the exception of a few years when he served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He was united in marriage September 22, 1922, to Miss Dorothy Ferebee of Nelson. To this union five children were born: Mrs. Melba June Lynch of Nora, Mrs. Rosemarie Kulek of Nelson, and Ruby Diane, Stephen Willis and Jo Annette. Mr. Brown leaves to mourn his departure his wife and five children and three grand children. He also leaves three sisters: Mrs. Guy Minor of Saugerties, N.Y., Mrs. O.L. Jensen of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. J.A. Greenwood of Lincoln, Nebr. There are two living brothers, Alvin M. Brown of Harrison, Nebr., and Hobert D. Brown of San Francisco, Cali. He united with the First Methodist Church of Nelson in his young manhood. Our brother will be missed as a citizen here in Nelson, as a neighbor to all who enjoyed him, and as a husband and father in the home. His quiet and unassuming life, his faithfulness to his daily task has created in us an admiration that will live in our hearts for days to come. John W. Chadwick gives us these words of comfort entitled, "The Eternal Voyage." Is this the end? I know it cannot be. Our ship shall sail upon another sea; New islands yet shall break upon our sight, New continents of love and truth and might. The funeral services were held in the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Clarence Powell in charge, assisted by Mrs. Powell. The music was furnished by a quartet: Mrs. Ruth Richling, Miss Eilene Aikin, Ollie Aikin and Lowell Powell, with Mrs. Henry Hite accompanist. Lowell Powell sang a solo, "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone." The pallbearers were J.D. Long, Paul Littrell, Wayne Wroughton, Emil Klawitter, V.C. Wade and A.L. Flower. Interment was in the Nelson cemetery. CARD OF THANKS.
