Description	:	Ruby Kathryn Snyder Coulter December 23, 1906 - June 23, 2008 Ruby Kathryn Snyder Coulter was born in Hillsdale County, Michigan to Reuben Clyde Snyder and Grace Bell Bohner Snyder. She was the first of six children. When Ruby was four years old, they homesteaded in Cheyenne County, Colorado, near Arapahoe Colorado. In 1924, Ruby moved with her family to Antlers, Colorado. Read More	Ruby Kathryn Snyder Coulter December 23, 1906 - June 23, 2008 Ruby Kathryn Snyder Coulter was born in Hillsdale County, Michigan to Reuben Clyde Snyder and Grace Bell Bohner Snyder. She was the first of six children. When Ruby was four years old, they homesteaded in Cheyenne County, Colorado, near Arapahoe Colorado. In 1924, Ruby moved with her family to Antlers, Colorado. Ruby graduated from Rifle Union High School shortly after the move to Antlers. Then, on November 11, 1926, in Golden , CO, Ruby married Harlen Samuel Coulter. Together they had three children. She lived in Meeker, Collbran and Rifle where they built the Coulter Trailer Park and duplex apartments. They retired in Meeker in 1976. In 1981, due to Harlen's health, they moved to Mesa, AZ. as full time residents. Ruby loved Arizona with beautiful cactus, wild flowers, Quail, rabbits and abundant sunshine and warmth. She loved painting and any hand craft work. After losing Harlen, she moved to Tucson, AZ back to Mesa, AZ for awhile, then moved to Grand Junction to be closer to family. She was a very dedicated devout Christian. She loved her bible and studied it daily. She always said it was her favorite BOOK. Her faith and hope in the resurrection of the dead held firm to the end. Ruby took great joy in her large family and her legacy will live on. She is survived by a son Gary (Relda) of Meeker, CO; daughter LaWana (Drew) Dickey of Clifton, CO; brother Victor Snyder of Pearland, Texas and sister Elizabeth "Betty" Snyder (Jack) McDonald of Golden, Colorado. She has 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Ruby also leaves behind many friends and a loving extended family. Preceding her in death are her husband Harlen, son Gordon Coulter and three brothers Guy, Edgar, and Royal Snyder. Services have already taken place. Interment was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle, next to her husband Harlen Coulter. A memorial will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. at The Residence at Grand Mesa.
