Ruby was an active member of King's Orchard Church of Christ in Wenatchee until her illness forced her move to Selah in 1998, and then to Yakima in 1999. She enjoyed handwork, quilting and gardening and was an active member of the Oroville Grange for many years. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Judy Pearson of Yakima, and Dewane M. and Beverly Pearson of Spokane; one grandson, Brian Pearson and his wife Megan of Spokane; one sister, Verneen Rowden of Salem, AR; one sister-in-law, Wilma Crane of East Wenatchee and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Euel in 1989, her parents, two brothers, and three sisters, including Mildred Young of Wenatchee. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee. Memorials in Ruby's honor may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Arrangements are under the direction of Valley Hills Funeral Home, Zillah.
