Description	:	Funeral services for Ruffner Lyle Campbell were held from Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Dec. 31 at 3 p.m. by Dr. H. S. Turner, assisted by the Rev. W. W. Crady and the Rev. Banks Hymns sung were "My Faith Looks Up To Thee," and "Nearer My God To Thee." Mr. Campbell was born at Lyles Mill in Rockbridge County, April 13, 1885, the son of the late Alonza and Lucy Weeks Campbell. Mr. Campbell was born at Lyles Mill in Rockbridge County, April 13, 1885, the son of the late Alonza and Lucy Weeks Campbell. He was united in marriage Dec. 25, 1906, to Ella Jane Cash, who survives him. In addition to his wife, Mr. Campbell is survived by the following children: Mrs. Gladys Phillips, Raphine; Mrs. Lucy Groah, Vesuvius; James C. Campbell, Stuarts Draft; Malcolm and Ray Campbell, both of Raphine; T-Sgt. Curtis P. Campbell, USAAF, Rome, N. Y.; S-Sgt. Alvah L. Campbell, USAAF, Langley Field; and Pvt. Richard D. Campbell, Germany. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mary Holbert, Richmond; Mrs. Frank Mohler, Lexington, and Mrs. Elizabeth Marks, Waynesboro; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Campbell followed mining as long as his health permitted. He was associated with the Brown Mining Company near Vesuvius, serving as superintendent and later being transferred to Hampton, Tenn. Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Edgar Austin, Harold Fauver, Beryl Patterson, Lyle Cash, Sylvester Phillips, and Everett Graves. Honorary bearers were Wilbur Waymack, Everett Cash, Clarence Cash, Aubrey Cash, Bobby Cash, James Mohler, Derwood Ramsey, Junior Snyder, Tracy Cash, Bob Groah, Robert Groah, Clyde Humphries, Marvin Brooks, Frances Clemments, Joe Snyder, Waldo Fauber, Melvin Humphries, and Fred Moore.
