Ruth later married Donald Chapman. Don and Ruth lived in Exeter where they raised their two daughters, Ivy & Kathy. Later in life, she met and married Larry Vodicka of Fairmont, Nebraska. Ruth worked as a waitress at Kentucky Fried Chicken in York and at Grant’s and Double Nickel in Waco, Nebraska. Ruth’s favorite activities included fishing and camping. Her daughters remember fun times fishing and pond swimming with Mom. She especially enjoyed traveling with Larry to Colorado and New York in the truck. They also enjoyed trips to the area casinos. When her family was young, Ruth loved Thanksgiving and celebrated by cooking a turkey, a goose, and a duck each year. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Frederick, Larry, Dayle, Betty, Linda; granddaughter Link; and husbands Don Chapman and Larry Vodicka. Ruth is survived by her daughters Michele Renee Mullan, Ivy Casper, and Kathy Mason; her grandchildren Michael Betts, Jr., Ryan Evans, Aaron Mullan; step-grandson Christopher Denson Evans, Crystal Hankel, Anthony and Matthew Nun, Misty, Sarah and Laura Casper, Jacob Phillips, Dakota Mason, Piper Mason, and Dusty Mason; great grandchildren Michael, Annika, and Blake Betts, James Hankel, Joseph Garner, Grayson Nun, Nikolai, Ava, and Caden Phillips; brother Steven Trautman; sister Sandra Ladd; special friend Paul Rexroad; and Larry Vodicka’s children Michael Vodicka, Corina Edwards, Joe Vodicka, Larry David Vodicka, and Mary Melby.
