March 1.--Mrs. Thomas Watchorn died Thursday morning at the farm home six miles northeast of North Bend. She had been suffering with the influenza for three months, and a sudden relapse caused her death. Mrs. Watchorn, formerly Miss Ruth Emma Griffith, was born May 30, 1892, in Council Bluffs, Ia., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Griffith. She was married to Thomas Watchorn Oct. 19, 1908, at Newcastle, Neb. She is survived by her parents, her husband, and the following children : Sylvia, Walter, Glenn, Kenneth, Edward and Oren Ross. One sister, Mrs. Walter Watchorn of North Bend, and two brothers, Henry Griffith of Omaha and Harry Griffith of North Bend, also survive. The two sisters were married to the brothers, and both families resided on farms near this city. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Purple Cane church, with burial in the Purple Cane cemetery. [ Note ~ Presume body was moved later to be buried by her parents in this Prospect Hill Cemetery.]
