Description	:	Ruth Emma Schroeder, 94, Mohall and formerly of Tolley, ND, died Saturday June 15, 2002 in Mohall's North Central Good Samaritan Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22 at 11 am in Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolley. Visitation will began Friday, June 21 from 2 pm until 7 pm in Anderson Nelson Funeral Home and two hours prior to the funeral in the church. Burial will take place in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery; Tolley. Ruth was born June 2, 1908 in Hutchinson, MN to Julius H. and Wìlhelmina M. (Dallman) Heller. She was baptized July 5, 1908 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with Pastor Fritzke officiating. She was confirmed June 23 also at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with Pastor Schulze officiating. Ruth grew up in Acoma Township of rural Hutchinson. She attended country school of District 15 in Acoma Township and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1926. Ruth graduated from St. Cloud Teacher's College on June 7,1933 and taught again in rural schools and (Bear Lake and Biscay) until 1940. She played saxophone in the Hutchinson Ladies Band during and the 1930's and also the St. Cloud Teacher's College Symphonic Band. Ruth was united in marriage to Louis Schroeder on October 27, 1940 in Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson by Pastor Schulze. Their marriage was blessed with four sons and one daughter. Ruth and her family spent summers on their farm in Tolley, ND and winters in Hutchinson, MN. Louis entered eternal rest on September 4, 1974. Ruth entered the North Central Samaritan Nursing Home November 1, 1999. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Dorcas and Ladies Aid. She taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir all in Hutchinson. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir, and belonged to the Ladies Aid all of Tolley. Along with being a highly educated person, Ruth was very fluent in the languages of French, Spanish, and German of which she spoke the high and low dialect.
