Read More	From an 1895 Nance County, Nebraska, newspaper clipping file, publication date unknown,transcribed by Linda Berney: Died, at the home of her husband, Frank Loucks, on Sunday morning, April 28th, 1895, Mrs. Sadie Storch Loucks, aged 23 years, of childbirth. It is a sad duty which we are often called upon to perform, to chronicle the death of a member of our community. When the aged sheaf is gathered in, full of fruit, it is even sad that the ties of long years of life and service must be broken; and still, a matter of rejoicing that the aged saint goes to received the full fruition of a life well spent,; but when a young wife is cut down in a day; just starting out in a life of usefulness and happiness and a new home, where so much of joy and contentment and future happiness was anticipated, is made desolate in a single day; it indeed brings sadness to the whole community and especially is it one of the saddest events which a newspaper is called upon to record. Following closely upon the announcement of last week that a sweet little baby girl had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Loucks, came the report on Sunday morning that the young wife and mother was dead. Scarcely one year ago a large assemblage gathered at the M. E. church in this city to witness the nuptials of Miss Sadie Storch to Mr. Frank Loucks. The church was beautifully decorated by loving hands for the happy occasion. On Tuesday, April 30th, the same church was decorated; - the altar, the organ and pulpit chairs were veiled in white, beautiful white cut flowers and potted plants presented a lovely background - the same mothers and fathers were there; the same brothers and sisters; the same friends and the same pastor who performed the happy ceremony on June 6, 1894; the same groom was there; but the body of the bride lay clad in her wedding robes, in a beautiful white casket. Instead of the happy smiles and expectant faces of last year, there was sadness and weeping. Rev. Martin had been summoned from Grand Island, and together with the pastor, Dr. Pillsbury, conducted the services. The deceased was a devoted member of the M. E. church, and the love and respect of all who knew her, was attested to by the throng who filled the building, anxious to catch a parting glimpse of one whose purity of life and character they had learned to love. The sermon of Dr. Martin was one calculated to cheer and inspire hope of a joyous meeting beyond the river, instead of increasing the sorrow and sadness of the occasion, and was an eloquent tribute to the departed one. The pall bearers were six young ladies, Mrs. Will Borre, and Misses Lillie Morris, Bessie Beasom, Lulu Scott, Cora and Clara Cunningham and six young men, Will Borre, W. F. Hirst, Roy Talbot, Geo. Ellsworth and Cyrus and Geo. Bergen. The remains were tenderly laid away by loving hands, in the Fullerton cemetery to await the resurrection morn, while the bereaved husband and the little babe, who will never look on a mother's face in this life, and a host of loving friends await a glad reunion around the great white throne.
