Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. George Jedele were held Wednesday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran church in Denison. The Rev Carl Schmidt officiated. Burial was made in the Oakland cemetery. Pallbearers were Gus Arnold, Fritz Block, Heinie Asmus, Henry Beerman, Ben Kahler and Otto Rath. Mrs. Jedele died August 14 at her home west of Denison after a 2-month illness. Salome Koenig was married to George Jedele July 21, 1896 in Germany. To this union 7 children were born. George and Salome Koenig Jedele came to America in March of 1907, and settled on a farm south of Denison. After moving to another farm south of Manilla, they moved to their present home west of Denison. Salome is survived by her widower; a son George (Modesto, CA) and 2 daughters, Margaret Holdsworth of Manilla and Sallie Ahrenholtz of Denison; 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, John Jr and Mike of Audubon and George Koenig of Burbank, California; and 2 sisters, Margaret Weiderstein and Anna Bauer of Audubon. She is preceded in death by 4 children, a stepson, Charles Jedele and a sister Kate, who died 3 weeks ago. Relatives attending from a distance included: Mr and Mrs Don Jedele of Ames Iowa, Mr and Mrs Gordon Jedele of Logan Iowa, Mrs Russell Nelson of Irwin, Mr and Mrs Ed Weible, Hilda Weible, Mr and Mrs Stanley Wallace and family of Hillsboro, North Dakota, Mr and Mrs John Koenig, Mr and Mrs Luis Weiderstein, Mr and Mrs William Bauer, Mr and Mrs Raymon Merk, Mr and Mrs Fred Deist, Mr and Mrs Vernon Deist of Audubon, Iowa.
