Description	:	Samantha Singletary Morris was the daughter of Nimrod Morris. She married Joseph Beason on July 4, 1849 in St. Clair County, Missouri. To this union ten children were born Joseph, Frances, Josephine, John, Ephraim, Mary, Melissa, Emily, Stephen and Lepha. In 1850 Joseph bought the Doctor Cox's farm three miles from Osceola. Seven years later there had been four births and three marriages in the Beason family. The log farm house still stands today. The Civil War. The family moved to Thurman, Fremont County, Iowa in 1876. Where Samantha died of consumption on May 24, 1877. Age 44 years 11 months Daguerreotype photograph of Samantha Morris thought to be her wedding photo to Joseph Beason. We never knew who the photograph was of until my cousin took the photo frame a part. So beautiful, kind eyes and such a hard life my 3rd Great Grandmother. This small photo is my most treasured possession. The older photograph of Samantha Singletary (Morris) Beason was discovered behind my grandfather Harry W. Beason's World War I photograph it now hangs in our guest room. In 2014 we inherited Samantha's (Morris) Beason's Bible, printed in 1850 and given to her by her father Nimrod Morris on December 25, 1860 in Osceola, St. Clair County, Missouri. Tell her I love her and miss her, And when she turns to smile, Place a kiss upon her cheek And hold her for awhile. Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, But there's an ache within my heart. That will never go away. Samantha has waited 141 years for her new cemetery stone.
