HOYE [Special Dispatch to the Baltimre Sun.] Deer Park, MD., Sept 16. - The funeral of Samuel Craver Hoye, formerly postmaster of Deer Park, took place from the residence of his brother, W. D. Hoye, on Sunday. There was a very large attendance. Services were held in the Lutheran Church, Rev. Mr. Uhler officiating. Mr. Hoye was born at Selbysport. He served as postmaster during both terms of President Cleveland and was noted for his accommodating spirit. Before serving as postmaster he was one of the School Commisioners for Garrett County. Between his two terms as postmaster he held the office of justice of the peace. He was in the sixty-ninth year of his age and leaves a widow and thre daughters, Georgia, Nellie and Bessie, the last named the wife of John Felty of Oakland. (Transcribed by Ronn E. Friend)
