Description	:	Samuel George Green, fourth son of Joseph Watts Green and Hannah Griggs Green was born at the Parish of South Haningfield, Essex County, England, the 16th of Aug. 1836 and died at his home eight miles southwest of Creighton, Nebraska on the morning of May 2nd, 1919. At the time of his death, aged 82 years, 8 months and 16 days old. He lived the greater part of his boyhood days in the city of London. In May 1857 he left England and came to America. Read More	Samuel George Green, fourth son of Joseph Watts Green and Hannah Griggs Green was born at the Parish of South Haningfield, Essex County, England, the 16th of Aug. 1836 and died at his home eight miles southwest of Creighton, Nebraska on the morning of May 2nd, 1919. At the time of his death, aged 82 years, 8 months and 16 days old. He lived the greater part of his boyhood days in the city of London. In May 1857 he left England and came to America. His three older brothers died some years ago, two of them in England and one in Colorado. After coming to the United States, he took up his residence at Morrison, Ill., where he lived for about four years. Moving from there to Ames, Iowa, where he was married to Mary A. Fritch, May 29, 1869. Two children came to bless this union, Walter Truman and Frank William. They moved to Emerson, Iowa in 1871, where he and his wife became charter members of the Emerson Baptist church. In 1881 he and his family moved to Colorado, where they lived for four years. They lived one year in Hamilton county, Nebraska, moving to his farm at Creighton, Nebraska in 1894, where he lived until the time of his death. Soon after arriving at Creighton, he and his wife and two sons became members of the Creighton Baptist church, where he served as deacon for several years. He leaves to mourn his departure a devoted wife and two sons, with other relatives and a host of friends. A short service was held at the home on Sunday, May 4th, after which, services were conducted by S.E. Bishop at the Baptist church in Creighton. The church was decorated with many beautiful flowers and many friends and neighbors were present. After which, the body was interred in the Creighton cemetery to await the redemption of the body through the resurrection at the coming of Christ.
