Description	:	Walter Truman Green was born at Ames, Iowa, on November 12, 1870, and died at his home southwest of Creighton, Nebraska, on November 7, 1927, and at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 25 days. The first year of his life was spent at his birthplace. In the year 1871 he moved with his parents to Emerson, Iowa. Read More	Walter Truman Green was born at Ames, Iowa, on November 12, 1870, and died at his home southwest of Creighton, Nebraska, on November 7, 1927, and at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 25 days. The first year of his life was spent at his birthplace. In the year 1871 he moved with his parents to Emerson, Iowa. Ten years later he removed to Colorado, where he resided for a period of four years. Mr. Green then came to Hamilton county, Nebraska, where he lived a year and in the year 1894 came to Creighton, where he spent the balance of his days and up to the time of his demise. On December 30, 1908, he was united in marriage to May E. Philbrick. During his residence in Colorado, he was converted and united with the church near his home. After coming to Creighton he united with the Baptist church and was very active in church affairs. Mr. Green was one of the early pioneers of this community and endured many hardships of the early days. He was a man of quiet disposition, but square in all his business transactions. He was trustworthy and commanded the respect of all. One place he greatly cherished was his home. The surviving relatives are his wife and one brother, Frank W. Green, two nieces and one nephew, besides scores of friends who deeply mourn his passing. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church on Thursday afternoon, in charge of the pastor, Rev. Paul Sawtell assisted by Rev. Fenton. A large concourse of friends gathered to pay their final respects. The remains were laid to rest in the Greenwood cemetery.
