Coulbourne, formerly of this city but who has been living in Baltimore for 35 years, died at his home there after an illness of several months at the age of 52. He was the son of the late Joseph and Molly Coulbourn, members of old and prominent Somerset County families, and the husband of Mrs. Laura E. Coulbourne, nee Garrison. Leaving Crisfield about 1910, Mr. Coulbourne entered the employ of Miller Brothers, in their famous restaurant, and stayed with that concern until illness caused him to relinquish his position. He made frequent visits to his home town, where he had a number of relatives and many friends, and on his last visit here some months ago was in poor health. Mr. Coulbourne was a Crisfield boy who was highly esteemed. He was courteous and likeable, and hundreds of his friends who were raised here with him, and others who came to know him later, made it a point to dine at Miller Brothers and have a few words with him whenever the occasion offered. His death has caused sincere sorrow in his home community and in the section of Baltimore where he lived so long. Funeral services were held at the Hubbard Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2.30, conducted by Rev. J. T. Rowlenson. Interment was in Asbury cemetery. Bearers were Thomas Coulbourne, Jr., Joseph Christy, Charles Christy, Grayson Coulbourne, Bud Coulbourne and Clifton Morgan. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Miss Peggy Lee Coulbourne, and a niece whom he raised, Mrs. Edna Worsley, two brothers, Thomas Coulbourne of this city and George Coulbourne of Baltimore, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Christy, of Baltimore.
