Description	:	OBITUARY Taken from copy in family records, no known source but assumed to be from the local Mansfield newspaper at Samuel's time of death. Samuel J. Miller was born near Belfast in the North of Ireland, May 12, 1843. He came to America in 1859, settling in the state of Illinois. February 2, 1869 he was married to Miss Maria Lewis. Read More	OBITUARY Taken from copy in family records, no known source but assumed to be from the local Mansfield newspaper at Samuel's time of death. Samuel J. Miller was born near Belfast in the North of Ireland, May 12, 1843. He came to America in 1859, settling in the state of Illinois. February 2, 1869 he was married to Miss Maria Lewis. Of this union there were born ten children, six boys and four girls, all of whom are living with the exception of one daughter. The wife of his young manhood died August 15, 1894. In 1905 the deceased came west, settling on a homestead near Jamison, Washington, where he spent the last six years of his life. For 21 years Mr. Miller was a consistent member of the Church of Christ, in which faith he passed to the beyond. The funeral obsequies were held from the Paradise school house, January 22, 1913, conducted by the Rev. J. R. Payne, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Mansfield, Washington. The remains were interred in the Mansfield Cemetery. June 2015 - Per research done by Mitzi Butler: Mansfield Cemetery records do not indicate where Samuel J. Miller is buried and there is no headstone. The obituary and death certificate state he is buried in the Mansfield Cemetery.
