Bennett was born at Peru, Ind., Mar. 22nd 1850, died at Fullerton, Nebr., Jan. 9th, 1911, aged 60 years 9 months and 17 days. Mr. Bennett made his continuous home in his native state until May last, when he was married to Mrs. Jane Finch, and came to this city to make his future home. He was a teacher by profession and engaged in that work for many years. Tho' he was not formally connected with any church, his faith inChristianity was firm and he professed a personal knowledge of Christ as his Saviour. For the greater part of the time since coming to this city, Mr. Bennett has been sorely afflicted. On last Monday afternoon, after many weeks of acute suffering, the spirit passed quietly into the silence. Three daughters of the deceased make their home in Indiana, only one of whom, Mrs. Immanuel Hires, was present at these last solemn obsequies.
