He with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Clayborn Syria came to Sunnyside in 1915. On Sept. 17, 1919, he married Miss Halcie Chamberlain in Pasco, together they farmed and engaged in the trucking business. For the past 20 years he has engaged in the produce business having owned and operated the Sam W, Syria and Son Produce Warehouse and the Birdseye Division Receiving Station of Sunnyside, while continuing to farm. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Halcie Syria; one son, Louis Syrua; one brother, Charles Syria; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Bishop and Mrs. Clifford Wisner.
