She was the oldest resident of that city, where she had lived continuo9usly for more than 58 years. She came to Greene County with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas, from Clinton County. On Dec. 19, 1875, she was married to Abraham Overly Clark at Scranton. To this union eight children were born, two dying in infancy. Those left to mourn the loss of a loved mother are: Lanfer Clark of St. Joseph, Missouri; Zoa Clark Dunnivan of Scranton; Abram Hulbert Clark of Missouri Valley; Mary Ann MacDonald of Scranton; John Orr Clark of Dana; and Charles Wilbur Clark of Davenport; two sisters: Mrs. Lydia Bishop and Mrs. O. A. Boshop of Churdan; two brothers: Michael and Howard Thomas of Scranton. Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1919. She had been a member of the Scranton Christian Church for forty-three years and for many years has been a member of the Scranton Rebekah and Eastern Star Lodges. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Christian Church in Scranton.
