She grew up and attended school in Hurley, graduating from Hurley High School. Sara played coronet in the Turner County Band. After high school she worked for Dr. Kemper in Viborg, SD. The highlight of her employment there was assisting in delivering babies. She later attended Mankato College and graduated from Sioux Falls College. Sara began her teaching career in Beresford, SD. She also taught country school in Lincoln, Turner and Minnehaha Counties in South Dakota. Sara last taught at Hills-Beaver Creek, MN. She retired after nearly 25 years at HBC. Sara found her life's calling and much enjoyment in teaching. Sara was a member of the National Education Association and the Minnesota Education Association. Sara was united in marriage with Gilbert William Neuroth in Beresford, SD. Sara and Gilbert had one daughter, Mary Ann and one son, Jonn. On August 27, 1947 Gilbert died as the result of an automobile accident. In April of 1956, Sara was united in marriage with Granade Harrigle at St. Joseph Cathedral in Sioux Falls, SD. Sara and Granade had two daughters, Sarena and Cindy. Sara was baptized in the Catholic Faith on January 11, 1946 and was currently a member of St. Lambert's Catholic Church. Sara cherished her family and the time she spent with them. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Granade Harrigle; her son, Jonn Neuroth and his wife, Cheri, Littleton, CO, and their son, Robin Neuroth and his wife, Summer, Anchorage, AK, her daughter, Sarena Weis and her husband, Tony, Sioux Falls, SD and their children, Heather Johnson and her husband, Scott, Aberdeen, WA, Nicole Weis, Playa Vista, CA, her daughter, Cindy and Jerry Stack, Modesto, CA and their children, Clinton and Jimmy, Modesto, CA; her great-grandchildren, Callahan and Delaney Neuroth, Anchorage, AK; two special friends, Darlene Schissel, Hurley, SD, Ruth Gregory, Flandreau, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Gilbert, Sara was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann; and one brother and one sister in infancy. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family for lunch and fellowship at St. Lambert's Catholic Church following the funeral mass and prior to leaving for the committal service.
