She was the daughter of James and Sabra Van Vleet and was on of a family of 13 children, eight girls and five boys, eight of her brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Read More	Sara Irene Van Vleet was born at Hampshire, Kane Co. Illinois on April29, 1859 and at the time of her dearth was 79 years, six months and 26 days old. She was the daughter of James and Sabra Van Vleet and was on of a family of 13 children, eight girls and five boys, eight of her brothers and sisters preceded her in death. She was married to Mr. John Bauman at Elgin, Ill.,m on Jan. 1, 1878. They lived in Iowa and Illinois for several years and came to Jones County in the spring of 1907, settling on a homestead 18 miles northeast of Draper, which was their home all of the years since. She was the mother of eight children, four of whom preceded her to the great beyond. Besides her husband of 60 years, she leaves four children to mourn her demise, Frank, Fred, Leon and Kate Huehl, also 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
