Description	:	Stratford Courier Thurs, Feb 15, 1912 Sarah Pierson was born Oct 2, 1839, in the state of Ohio. She was married to Wesley Hook at Shelbyville, Indiana, Oct 17, 1859. In 1865 the Hook's came to Hamilton county and settled at or near what is known as Hook's Point. Wesley Hook died 13 year ago, leaving a widow and one son. Two children died in infancy and one at the age of 11 years and 10 months, so that of... Read More	Stratford Courier Thurs, Feb 15, 1912 Sarah Pierson was born Oct 2, 1839, in the state of Ohio. She was married to Wesley Hook at Shelbyville, Indiana, Oct 17, 1859. In 1865 the Hook's came to Hamilton county and settled at or near what is known as Hook's Point. Wesley Hook died 13 year ago, leaving a widow and one son. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Hook has lived with her son, D.W., who with his family mourn her departure. Two children died in infancy and one at the age of 11 years and 10 months, so that of her four sons, only one survives her. Mrs, Hook has been blind for 14 years and the last few years an invalid. Death came to her as a release from long years of sickness and trial. She was of a cheerful disposition and never was heard to complain. On Sat. Feb. 3 she was taken with the illness, of which she died on Tues following Feb 6,1912, aged 73 years, 4 months and 4 days. Funeral services were held at the home Thurs, Feb 8th at 2pm, conducted by Rev. H. Albertson. A large number of friends and neighbors, besides family, were present to pay their last respects to one of the old settlers, now gone to her reward. The remains were laid to rest in the Oakwood Cemetery
