Mrs. Frank Butler and Mrs. Ben Cohoon had charge of the flowers, and the singing was by Mrs. Frances Gray, accompanied by M.A. Hentsch. Pall bearers were LeRoy Sandquist, Dean Sandquist, May Greenfield, and Grant Rystad and interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Wolfe Funeral home was in charge. Sarah Abbie Greenfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Greenfield, was born February 24, 1865 on a farm north of Villisca. She was married, September 1, 1883 to William J. Darnold and to this union eight children were born. They are Mrs. Gertrude E. Brewer, Glendo, Wyoming, Mrs. Letty E. Galentin, Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Vida Comley, Villisca, Mrs. Zetta M. Sandquist, who died last November; Harley E. Darnold, who died in 1934; Dewey Darnold, Burlington, Iowa; Frankie E. Darnold, who died in infancy, and Mrs. Vergie Newlin, Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Darnold lived in and around Villisca all her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church 49 years, and was also a member of the Ladies of the G.A.R. Besides her four daughters and one son, she leaves a sister, Miss Cora Greenfield and a brother, Jim Greenfield, both of Grant, 26 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
