George and Sarah had three children George Stanton born 1835, Hamilton Kent born 1837 and Annie L. born 1844. George was a farmer of Rumney. In 1860 Sarah and George were living in Rumney where they were farming. They had two children in the household Hamilton K. 23 and Annie L. 16. In 1870 widowed Sarah A. was 63 and living in Rumney; two children Hamilton K. 33 and Annie L. 26. In 1880 Sarah was still living with her son Hamilton K. Rogers and was age 73. Hamilton was 43,a farmer, and wife Addie E. was 25. Also in the household were their sons William H. 3 and Walter M. age 5 mos. Obit added by BLHughes: Mrs. Sarah Allen Rogers, who died at Ashland Friday, April 5, was born at Salem May 16, 1807, and consequently had reached the ripe old age of nearly 88 years. At Salem in 1833 she married Mr. George W. Rogers a native of Plymouth, removing to Campton Village which was her home for ten years. In 1833, Mr. Rogers with his family moved to Rumney where his death occurred in 1864 causes by an accident. Here Mrs. Rogers lived the greater part of his life with her son, H.H. Rogers. The last three years she has lived with her only daughter, Mrs. A.L. Noyes of Ashland where as in every place of her abode she has endeared herself to all who knew her, possessing energy in a marked degree, her life has been an active one until within only a few hours of its close. Keen and intelligent she kept in touch with the affairs of the world to the last. Misfortune, of which a large share fell to her lot, she met with the fortitude of a martyr, cheerful, contented and trustful loving her friends both here and absent with ardent devotion. She was a living example of the Christian faith which was her support to the end. Mrs Rogers' children were three in number, the eldest, George Stanton Rogers of Boston having died in 1881.
