FOSTER DIED AT AGE 80 _________ Mrs. Sara Amelia Foster, widow of the late Charles E. Foster passed away at the home of her son, Roy Foster at Monroe, Washington July 29, following sever years illness. She was 80 years old. Mrs. Foster was born June 5, 1870 at Green Bay, Wisc, and came to Kansas with her parents when a young girl, They settled in Allen county. She was married to Charles Eugene Foster on October 11, 1890. They made their home near Humboldt where Mr. Foster engaged in the farming industry, and where they reared their family of five children. Two sons died in infancy. They left Humboldt about 25 years ago, and for a number of years have lived in Washington, and Colorado. They returned to Humboldt and for several years made their home in Humboldt where Mr. Foster passed away a few years ago. Since that time Mrs. Foster has made her home with her son at Monroe, Washington. She is survived by three sons and two daughters. The sons are Roy Foster, with whom she made her home, Monroe, Washington., Marion W. Foster, Iola, Ben Foster Savonburg. The daughters are Mrs. Ida Overman, of El Monte, Calif., and Olive Kline, Craig, Colo. One brother, Marion Jacobson, and a sister, Ida Barker, 13 grandchildren and seven great grand children also survives. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon Aug 9 from the Johnson funeral home in Humboldt, with Rev. Robert B. Kendall in charge, Mrs Edna Spencer accompanied by Mrs Lola Morgan Sang Face to Face and Lead Kindly Light. She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Foster lot at Mt. Hope cemetery. Out-of-town her to attend the funeral were Roy G. Foster, Monroe, Washington, Mrs Ida Overman, El Monte, California, Mr. and Mrs Fred Foster, Mr. and Mrs Harold McIntyre, Mrs George Harris and Grant Reynolds, Carlyle, Mr. and Mrs Marion Jacobson, Mrs Olga Stevenson, Mrs Orpha Gregory.
