Description	:	Died At her home in this township, Monday morning, February 18, 1889, Mrs. Mary A. Craighead, aged nearly 67 years. Her maiden name was Overman and she was born in Moorseville, Indiana, March 11, 1824, was married to George Craighead in Highland County, Ohio, August 25, 1843. Moved to Indiana in 1857, thence to Montgomery County, Iowa in 1861 where she resided until her death. She was the mother of six sons, five of whom survive her. Read More	Died At her home in this township, Monday morning, February 18, 1889, Mrs. Mary A. Craighead, aged nearly 67 years. Her maiden name was Overman and she was born in Moorseville, Indiana, March 11, 1824, was married to George Craighead in Highland County, Ohio, August 25, 1843. Moved to Indiana in 1857, thence to Montgomery County, Iowa in 1861 where she resided until her death. She was the mother of six sons, five of whom survive her. William Ritner, John Hampton, Isaac Newton, George Washington, and Charles Lamb. In early life she was a member of the Methodist Church. After her removal to Iowa she joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, there being no Methodist Church near her at that time. She died as she lived, a happy, faithful Christian, resting secure in the promise of her Savior for life eternal among the blessed. Her sickness was tedious and prostrating but the warm sympathy of kind neighbors surrounded her and smoothed the way for her last steps in this life’s path. The funeral occurred yesterday and was conducted by Rev. Campbell and the remains, attended by a large assembly, were taken for burial to the Nodaway Cemetery.
