Read More	Mrs. Henry Stuve Dies at Norfolk Hospital A pall of gloom was cast over the entire community on Tuesday, when the word was given out that Mrs. Henry Stuve had passed away at the Lutheran hospital at noon, following a surgical operation on last Friday for appendicitis and gall stones. Announcement of her death came as a distinct shock to her many friends. Mrs. Stuve was a woman of character and probity. Her many years of residence in Creighton and community together with her remarkable personality have made it possible for her to come in contact with many hundreds of people and she enjoyed the respect and friendship of everyone, with whom she had an acquaintance. The place in her home can never be filled. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn, three sons, Ernest, Herman and Fred; three sisters, Mrs. J.B. Wulff, Mrs. Minnie Hansen and Mrs. B. Storm of Butte, Nebr. and two brothers, Peter Ehrenberg and Fred Ehrenberg. Funeral arrangements had not been made as we go to press. To the bereaved family, we extend our heartfelt sympathy. Extracted from: The Creighton News 12 June 1930 ----------------------------------------- Sarah Christine Margaret Stuve (nee Ehrenberg) was born on May 30, 1873 in Bloomington, Ill. At the age of 12, she, with her parents moved to Creighton, residing on a farm seven miles southwest of Creighton. On September 15, 1892, she was united in marriage to Henry Stuve. The birth of three sons, Herman, Fred and Ernest, all living and all of this area, blessed this marital union. With the exception of a few years residence in southeastern Nebraska, the entire period of their years of married life was spent near Creighton. Her last illness was the culmination of a number of years suffering. An operation for appendicitis and gall stones preformed on June 5th at the Lutheran Hospital of Norfolk was to have granted relief, but God in His Redeemable wisdom had decided otherwise and called her out of this world on Tuesday, June 10. Her days here being numbered 58 years and 11 days. Those who are made sad by her going are her husband, 3 sons and daughter-in-laws; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 5 grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was a reliable wife and helpmate and a devoted mother. In 1895 She, by confirmation, became a member of the Lutheran Church and remained faithful to her confirmation ideals to the end. In the faith of Christ her only Savior, she died and we are confident, ordained the inheritance with the saints in the light. We shall miss her here below. May God bless her memory among us. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, the pastor, Rev. Obermeyer, officiating. Hundreds of friends of the deceased woman, constituting one of the largest funeral audiences in Creighton's history, attended the last rites. Floral offerings were profuse and beautiful.
