Description	:	Mrs. Sarah Mader 1933 Bridgewater Bulletin On February 25th, there passed away at her home in Upper Branch, after a long illness, Mrs. Sarah Mader, at the advanced age of eighty-nine years. Mrs. Mader was a woman of fine character and one who bore her sufferings with wondeful patience. To the very last she had a smile and a joke for those who called to see her. She was a faithful member of the Baptist Church at New Canada, being among the first to be baptized into that church, and as long as she was able she was always present... Read More	Mrs. Sarah Mader 1933 Bridgewater Bulletin On February 25th, there passed away at her home in Upper Branch, after a long illness, Mrs. Sarah Mader, at the advanced age of eighty-nine years. Mrs. Mader was a woman of fine character and one who bore her sufferings with wondeful patience. To the very last she had a smile and a joke for those who called to see her. She was a faithful member of the Baptist Church at New Canada, being among the first to be baptized into that church, and as long as she was able she was always present at Sunday School and church. She was the last of the charter members of the W.M.A.S. The deceased was a devoted mother of thirteen children, and was also the last member of her family. She leaves to mourn their loss, her seven children: Locke, at home; Judson, Worcester, Mass.; Levi, Boston, Mass.; Ami, New York State; Crawley, Auburndale; Naomi, Mrs. Smeltzer, Mahone Bay; Jabez, Upper Branch; also seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her twenty-five years ago. After a short service at the home, the remains were laid to rest in the Baptist Cemetery, followed by a service at the church, conducted by Rev. Whitman. The text chosen was 2nd. Timothy, 4:7,which was one of Mrs. Mader's favourite passages of Scripture. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
