WYSCAVER DIES AT AGE OF 90 Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wyscaver 90-year old woman had lived in Canon City for the past 24 years, passed away at her home, 614 South 9th Street, at 1 A.M., Sunday. Her three daughters, the only remaining members of the family were at her bedside when the end came. Mrs. Wyscaver had been critically ill for three weeks preceding her death and her health had been delicate for two years before that. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday from the Holt Chapel with the Rev. J. W. Wells officiating and her body will then be shipped to Roscoe, Kan., for burial in Roscoe Cemetery. On July 29, 1858, Mrs. Wyscaver was born in Colo. Iowa. Later she moved to Kansas and it was at Mankato, on June 2, 1872, that she was married to James R. Wyscaver, who died May 19, 1924. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Wyscaver divided her time and residence between two daughters, one in Colorado and the other in Kansas. Almost a quarter of a century ago, she left the Hill City, Kan., home of one daughter and moved to Canon City. Although she bore seven children, three sons and one daughter preceded her in death. Surviving are Mrs. Edith Cook, Mrs. Ethel Mitchem, and Mrs. Helen Snyder, all of Canon City. Mrs. Wyscaver was a Protestant by faith.
