Lyons, daughter of Edward and Mary Lyons was born in Champaign County, Illinois, December 23, 1856 and departed this life March 7, 1928, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Joseph William Hannah January 21, 1875. To this union was born nine children, five boys and four girls. Lyons, daughter of Edward and Mary Lyons was born in Champaign County, Illinois, December 23, 1856 and departed this life March 7, 1928, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Joseph William Hannah January 21, 1875. To this union was born nine children, five boys and four girls. Four of these have passed on, two in infancy, Abner Alfred in early manhood and Blanche Hannah Buckingham March 7, 1922. Her husband passed to the Great Beyond in 1912. Those living are James E., Harry and Earl Hannah, Mrs. Nellie Barnes, all of Beaver Crossing, and Mrs. Myrtle Lierman of Moorfield, Nebraska. All of the children came at the first knowledge of their mother's sickness and did everything possible to prolong her life. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hannah and family moved in the spring of 1883 from Illinois and settled two and one half miles northwest of Beaver Crossing. The farm was at that time an unbroken prairie. Mrs. Hannah was converted and joined the M. E. church of Shiloh, lllnois, in early life and has lived a consistent Christian life. For many years she has also been a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. She was the last of five children. She leaves besides her five children, 16 grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was a consistent Christian and her work in the church and community was a blessing to many. Funeral services were held in the M. E. church Friday at 2:30 P. M., conducted by Rev. F. E. Drum. Interment was in the Beaver Crossing cemetery.
