She was born in Bath County on November 8, 1856. Nearest of kin surviving are her son John G. Bird with whom she made her home since her husband's death, William Bird, son, Monterey, Mrs. Sullie B. Va., and Mrs. John Roudabush, Staunton, Va; and two brothers, John J. Shover, Covington, and Frank D. Shover, McKeesport, Pa. She was a member of the Methodist church at Green Hill at which place funeral services were held by her pastor, Rev. Loring Howell assisted by Rev John Bolick.
