WILLIAM SILK: There passed to her eternal rest in the person of Mrs. William Silk, an old and respected resident of Shelburne. Born May 21st, 1871 she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey, of Whitfield. On April 10th, 1889, she was married to William Silk, of Shelburne, who predeceased her in October, 1930. WILLIAM SILK: There passed to her eternal rest in the person of Mrs. William Silk, an old and respected resident of Shelburne. Born May 21st, 1871 she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bailey, of Whitfield. On April 10th, 1889, she was married to William Silk, of Shelburne, who predeceased her in October, 1930. Following her husband's demise she resided with her son Clarence in Toronto and Pickering. Mrs. Silk was one time organist of Christ's Anglican Church, Whitfield. Those left to mourn are two daughters and two sons, Mrs. E. C. Mandley (Ethel); William Edgar Silk, Shelburne; Clarence Silk, Pickering; Mrs. H. B. Church (Mildred), Orangeville. Three sons predeceased her, A. V. Silk, Bertrand Silk and Ernest Silk. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and nine great grand children and two brothers, R. J. Bailey, Elba: W. J. Bailey, Regina, Sask., one sister, Mrs. R. G. Adamson (Margaret), Eyebrow, Sask. The funeral was held from the Gamble Funeral parlor on Wednesday, November 18th, to Shelburne Cemetery, and was largely attended. Rev. H. O. Hongisto was in charge of the service. The pallbearers were six grandsons, Chester Mandley, Bill Church, David Silk, Alvin Silk, Douglas Silk, John Yaeger. There were numerous and beautiful floral tributes, and were received from the following: Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mandley and Chester, Mr. Edgar Silk, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Silk, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Silk, Aubrey, Ellen, Doreen, Bill, Don, Mr. and Mrs. Dohner, Mr. and Mrs. Cooper, Mr. Frank Smith and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Silk and family, Eddie, Stanley, Leslie Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Parson, Mrs. Bert Trotter, Miss Bessie Church, David, Douglas, Annie, Alma, Marjorie, Roma, Doris Silk, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Cosgrove, Easter Rebecca Lodge (Pickering); Dr. and Mrs. R. B.
