Description	:	Sarah I. Walz Brown, 95, of Vermillion, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at the Sioux Valley Vermillion Care Center. She was born Dec. 31, 1910, at Vermillion to William and Bertha (Brunick) Larson. She was a 1928 graduate of Vermillion High School. She married Bernard Walz on Valentine's Day in 1931. Sarah and Bernard owned the Monogram News and she also worked in offices of the City of Vermillion for 10 years. Bernard died July 13, 1983. She married Edward Brown Oct. 20, 1984. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Vermillion. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jayne Merrigan and Patricia (Pete) Berglund, both of Vermillion; a stepdaughter, Shelia Nirk of St. Louis, MO; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great- great-grandchildren. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Vermillion. Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion, was in charge of the arrangements. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son, Donald Walz; a daughter, Mary Jeanne Girard; a brother, Lewis Larson; and two sisters, Bernice Cayce and Adelia Tonn.
