Description	:	Sarsli Katherine Rice, daughter of Richard and Lydia Rice was born April 18, 1885 in Harrison County. Mo. and departed this life Oct. 18, 1955 in Silver City at the age of 70 years. June 2S, 1903 she was united in marriage to Omer Adair at Allendale, Mo. To this union seven children were born. One son. Lawson, one grandson, James Frink, one brother, S. H. Rice and one sister, Mrs. Hallie Towers, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory her faithful and loving husband, four daughters, Mrs. W. J. She leaves to cherish her memory her faithful and loving husband, four daughters, Mrs. W. J. Waller, Stanton, Mrs. Leona Ratcliff, Jefferson. Mrs. Ray Frink. Red Oak. Mrs. Don Robbins of Hastings; two sons, Harold of Silver City and Kenneth of Villisca; 37 grandchildren; three brothers, G. R. Rice of Red Oak, S. W. Rice of Emerson, Leslie Rice of Scottsbluff , Nebraska, and a host of friends. In their early married life Mr. and Mrs. Adair were baptized in the Emerson Baptist church and have remained faithful to their religion. When her health failed and she could no longer attend for 20 year in a wheel chair. During this time she did much work and took care of her family. The past five years while bedfast, she was cared for constantly by her husband. During her many years of illness, she remained cheerful. Her religion, her home, children, grandchidren, and many friends were a source of comfort. She will be greatly missed by all. Services were held Friday at the Emerson Baptist church at 2 p. m. with the Rev. J. T. Parker officiating. Casket bearers were Dave Stoneking, Harold C. Anderson, William Rossander. Clifford Gibson, Earl McQuown Sr. and Kenneth McMahan. Flower ladles were Mrs. Walter Pannan, Mrs. Robert Waller, Mrs. Dave Stoneking and Mrs. Harold C. Anderson. Music by Dwight Vennerberg accompanied by Mrs. Horace Greenwood. Interment was in the Emerson Cemetery. Mansfield funeral home in charge. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Waller, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McMahan. Mrs. J. H. Kruse, Mrs. Chas. Mills, Mrs. J. W. Parman and Everett and Mrs. Allie Humston all of Silver City; Kemp McClain and Mrs. Opal Birdsong of Lawton. Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Rickabaugh, Hazel and Darlene, Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Hlce and Wayne of Tabor; Mrs. Floyd Adair and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pease and family of Lamoni; Mr and Mrs. Earl Adair of Redding; John Adair of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Nadlne Freiss of Cooper; Mrs. A. C. Vennerberg and Dwight Mrs. Arndt Ossian, Mr. and Mrs Edneir Peterson, Mrs. Lottie Lindberg, Aron and Genevieve Anderson of Stanton; Mr. and Mrs. Orrie Snowies of Sham baugh; Mrs. Ruby Woods, Mrs Ann Griffith, Mrs. Ethel Buck hanon of Hed Oak and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Harmon of Griswold.
