Description	:	Harold Adair, son of Omer and Katherine Rice Adair, was born November 1, 1909 at Emerson, Iowa. Harold move with his parents to southern Oklahoma when he was a small child and returned to Iowa at the age of seventeen. He married Laura Grace Edie on June 6, 1931. Laura is the daughter of Lawrence and Lillian Henning Edie. Laura was born at Mullen, Nebraska, on December 1, 1914. Harold worked most of his life as a farmer. Read More	Harold Adair, son of Omer and Katherine Rice Adair, was born November 1, 1909 at Emerson, Iowa. Laura is the daughter of Lawrence and Lillian Henning Edie. Laura was born at Mullen, Nebraska, on December 1, 1914. Harold worked most of his life as a farmer. Laura lives in Silver City and has been employed at the Glenwood State School for the past twenty-three years. Children of Harold and Laura Adair: (1) Lawrence Omer Adair, born December 14, 1932 at Strahan, Iowa, married Verla Mae Chambers on August 24, 1956. Lawrence enlisted at Korea Hill, sent to Japan for an operation, then later sent to Camp Carson, Colorado where he remained in the hospital until April 1952. He was discharged as a sergeant in 1954. He received the Purple Heart. Services were held Oct. 12 for Harold Albert Adair, Sr., from the Silver City Methodist church with the Rev. E. LeRoy Pullman officiating. Interment was in Emerson cemetery with the Raynor- Hamilton chapel of Glenwood in charge of arrangements. Harold Adair was born Nov. 1, 1909, at Emerson, Iowa, and died Oct. 9, 1962, at his home in Silver City following a heart attack. He as 52 years old. He was married to Laura Edie on June 6, 1931. His occupation was trucking and he lived in Mills ounty all his life. He was a memeber of the Methodist church. Survivors, other than his widow, are: five daughters, Mrs. Richard Hoffman and Phyllis Adair of Omaha, Mrs. Robert Mayne, Anhorage, Alaska, Mrs. Gary Miller, Silver City and Sharon Adair of the home; two sons, Lawrence, of Nalvern and Harold, Jr., Oklahoma City; father, Omer Adair, Malvern; Father, Kenneth Adair, Clarinda; four sisters, Mrs. George Ratcliff, Jefferson, Mrs. Donald Robbins, Atlantic, Mrs. Ray Frink, Red Oak nd Mrs. William Waller, Stanton; and nine grandchildren.
