Description	:	Allerton News Thursday, January 16, 1908 Death of Mrs. McCreary Mrs. C. E. McCreary died at her home in Jefferson township on Jan. 7tj last from typhoid fever. The remains were brought to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Mace last Thursday and burial was fro the Methodist church Saturday at 10 o"clock a. m.. Interment being in Allerton cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. H. G. Pittenger. Sarah L. McCreary, daughter of A. A. and A. E. Mace was born in Wayne county, Iowa, May 29, 1876, and died Jan. 7, 1908, aged 31 yrs. 7 mos, 8 days. She was converted and united with the M.E. church at the age of 14 and has lived a faithful and consistent christian life since that time. She completed the course of study in the Allerton high school, graduating with the class of 1896. She was married March 18, 1897, to C. E. McCreary. To them were born 5 children, three girls and two boys, the oldest a girl of ten years, the youngest a boy of 13 months. A devoted husband and the children survive her. As a wife and mother she was kind, affectionate and tender. She counted no task too hard for the sake of her loved ones. She came from a family of nine children, all the rest of whom were present; J. E. Mace, C. Julia Williams, R. A. Mace, Nancy L. Merical, Millard L. Mace, Alberta Caldwell, Florence A Lane and Alice E Mace.
