Description	:	DEATH OF MRS. PORTER PLEASANTS Sarah T. Warner, was born Dec. 13th, 1848, at Hazelhurst, Copiah county, Miss., and died at Merryville, La., June 19th, 1917. Was united in marriage to Porter Pleasants, December 25th, and came to Birmingham, 35 years ago, and this place has been her home until after the death of her husband, which occurred October 18th, 1916. After her husbands death she became dissatisfied, and disposing of her interests here moved to Mississippi City, Miss. where several of her blood relatives resided, and May 1st she went to Merryville, La., when she was taken sick with... Read More	DEATH OF MRS. PORTER PLEASANTS Sarah T. Warner, was born Dec. 13th, 1848, at Hazelhurst, Copiah county, Miss., and died at Merryville, La., June 19th, 1917. Was united in marriage to Porter Pleasants, December 25th, and came to Birmingham, 35 years ago, and this place has been her home until after the death of her husband, which occurred October 18th, 1916. After her husbands death she became dissatisfied, and disposing of her interests here moved to Mississippi City, Miss. where several of her blood relatives resided, and May 1st she went to Merryville, La., when she was taken sick with an attack of Malaria Fever, and though receiving the best of care and attention, she died June 19th, 1917, eight months and one day after the death of her husband, making three deaths in the family in eight months. The body was accompanied to Birmingham by D. C. Warner a half brother and W. S. Warner, a nephew, arriving here about midnight Saturday. Sunday at 3:30 p.m., funeral services, conducted by Rev. Bock, were held in the Presbyterian church, in the presence of a large congregation of long time friends and acquaintances and was laid to rest in Birmingham cemetery beside her husband, which was her final and urgent request.
