Saunder was born March 14, 1909, in Billings,to Conrad and Katherine Lesser Hein. He was raised on the family farm on 48th Street West, which he later farmed until 1970. Read More	Saunder hein, 92, was called to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday evening, June 27, 2001, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer. Saunder was born March 14, 1909, in Billings,to Conrad and Katherine Lesser Hein. He was raised on the family farm on 48th Street West, which he later farmed until 1970. He received his education at Elder Grove School. He was united in marriage to Esther Yeager on Dec. 20, 1931, in Billings. To this union, four daughters were born. Dad loved his farm, where he resided until 1996, at which time he moved into Billings and resided at Aspen View Retirement Home. Dad served on the School Board for Elder Grove School, worked for the Yellowstone County Assessor's Office and served on committees of Pilgrim Congregational Church, of which he was a member. He is survived by his four daughters, Gladys (Leo) Besel, Mildred (Carl) Thaut, Sharon (Roger) Rieger, all of Billings, and Sandra (Gerald) Strecker of Columbus; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Esther in 1995, his grandson Steven Rieger in 1999, his parents, his brothers Conrad, George, John, Jake, Henry; and sister Katie Lenhardt.
