He was married to Gladys Strand July 16, 1944 at Portland. They have always lived in Portland. He had been shop forman at the Mayville Motor Co., and manager of the Texaco Service Station in Mayville, before accepting employment as a mechanic, four years ago, at the Grand Forks Air Base. He was a member of the Clarence Anderson Legion Post in Portland, the VFW, Eagles and Sons of Norway Lodge at Mayville. He leaves his wife; two sons and two daughters, Gary, West Fargo, N.D.; Donald, Karen and Barbara, all of Portland; his mother, Mrs. Hans (Ella) Thuen, Portland. Two brothers and four sisters, Mrs. James (Henrietta) Strand, Mrs. Laurence (Alice) Higdem, and Harold all of Portland; Mrs. Clarence (Judy) Strand, Amenia, N.D.; Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Bauer, and Reuben Thuen, both Oakland, Calif.
