Hutchinson News Wednesday, December 3, 1975 Morning walk fatal for woman MCPHERSON —A 63-year-old nursing home resident, apparently out for an early morning walk, was struck by a car and killed here Tuesday. According to Deputy Larry M. Moorman, of the McPherson County Ssheriff’s office, Sena Richard, a resident of North View Manor Nursing Home, was struck by a car driven by Robert L. Weyand, 19, McPherson. The 6 a.m. accident occurred on North Main, just north of the McPherson city limits. Often walked Moorman said nursing home officials told him the woman often took walks to an abandoned farm house across the street from the nursing home. She came to the nurses' station at the home early Tuesday morning and was told to go into the cafeteria. She apparently left the building through the cafeteria door moments before the accident, according to the sheriff's deputy. Weyand, a student at a Salina vo-tech school, was enroute to Salina at the time of the accident.
