Description	:	Uncle Wash as my grandmother called him was laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery. Throughout the years his headstone as well as his brother's were destroyed or grown over. The head stones bearing his and his brother's service in Confederate States Army were placed there by the Sons of Confederate Veterans Colonel Henry Laurens Benbow Camp #859 with help from his descendants. The Brewer Brother's headstones are next to each other in the John Peter and Mary Barney Brewer plot there in Oak Grove Cemetery.
