Sheridan died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk, Nebraska. Sheridan attended and graduated from Spencer High School, and later joined the United States Army, serving his country during World War II. Following his Honorable Discharge in 1946, Sheridan returned to Boyd County, and on August 1, 1949, was married to Helen Smith at Butte, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with one son, Larry. Sheridan died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk, Nebraska. Sheridan attended and graduated from Spencer High School, and later joined the United States Army, serving his country during World War II. Following his Honorable Discharge in 1946, Sheridan returned to Boyd County, and on August 1, 1949, was married to Helen Smith at Butte, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with one son, Larry. Sheridan worked most of his years at the William Krotter Company, and enjoyed spending his free-time outdoors. Sheridan is survived by his son, Larry (fiancé Brenda Hokamp) Wells of Norfolk, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jordan (friend Katie Behmer) Wells, Austin Wells, and Katie (friend Garet Hurlburt) Wells, all of Norfolk, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Ernest Larsen of Butte, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Louise Wells of Canada; plus a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Sheridan was preceded in death by: wife, Helen Wells on October 9, 2011; parents, Walter and Martha Wells; and brothers, Delwyn, Burnell, Orlyn, and Orvin Wells. Burial was in the Union Cemetery, Spencer, NE. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 78 of Spencer, NE.
