She attended Otto Country School near her home. On February 18, 1956, Shirley was united in marriage with Frank E. Wygle in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Shirley took care of her parents in their later years. Some of the things Shirley enjoyed were gardening, watching birds and westerns. She loved to do crossword puzzles, playing cards and Bingo. She was a loving wife and mother. Family and friends were very important to Shirley and she treasured the time she spent with them. Shirley died April 25, 2013 at her home of natural causes. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Frank in 1996; one son, Timothy Wygle in 2007; her parents, James and Frances Chase; and one brother, Jimmy Chase. Shirley is survived by two sons, Daniel (Cathy) Wygle of Steamboat Rock, Iowa and Tony Wygle of New Hampton, Iowa; three daughters, Linda (Charles) Mosher of Allison, Iowa, Kathryn Wygle of Clarksville, Iowa and Shirley Marie (fiancé, LaRico Harmon) Wygle of Waterloo, Iowa; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike Chase of Appleton, Wisconsin; five sisters, Sharon Stillions of Kingman, Arizona, Karen Wygle of Parkersburg, Iowa, Mary (Wayne) Lockey of Waterloo, Iowa, Ginger (Vince) Putney of Mooreland, Georgia and Pat Spencer of Sheridon, Wyoming. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2013, at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville with burial in Lowell Cemetery, rural Clarksville. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville, (319)278-4245 and will continue for one hour prior to services on Monday.
