Shirley Mary Norman was born April 25, 1944 the daughter of Paul V. Jr. and Rose Ann (Arnold) Norman in Paris, TX. She attended St. Michael's Grade School and graduated from Grand Forks Central High in 1962. Jr. and Rose Ann (Arnold) Norman in Paris, TX. She attended St. Michael's Grade School and graduated from Grand Forks Central High in 1962. She was a Delta Zeta at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks where she graduated with a B.S. in Nursing in 1966. She married Donald A. Stewart of Crookston, MN on August 5, 1967 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks. Shirley had been working as a Registered Nurse at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks since 1995. Shirley was a supporter of Sioux sports since college. She loved spending time with her family at home or at Ottertaill Lake in MN. She donated to several organizations including St. Michael's Church, March of Dimes, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and several Native American schools throughout the country. She raised her children in New Berlin, WI before relocating her family to Grand Forks in 1993. A great hostess and the life of the party, her ease, care and thoughtfulness drew people to her. Always thinking of others Shirley had a wide circle of friends who will, greatly miss her. A devoted and loving mother, Shirley encouraged her children to pursue their dreams. Her strength and support will live on through them always. She is survived by: daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Mclean, and Jane Stewart; sons, Jonathan (Kristy), and Donovan; all of Grand Forks. Sisters, Judy (Richard) Murawski, Andover, MN, Janie (Bill) Weber, Fargo, ND; brother, Dan (Gail) Norman, Franklin, WI; four nieces and five nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Marc A, Stewart; parents; and a sister, Nancy J Norman. Services: Mass of Christian Burial 2:00 p.m. Friday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND. Visitation; 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service and a 4:30 p.m. Rosary in the Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks. (Gregory J.
